
In Jajarkot, 11 people from five families in the same village fell ill after consuming poisonous mushrooms collected from a nearby forest. The incident occurred in Ranagaun, Bheri Municipality-4, and all the affected individuals are currently undergoing treatment at Jajarkot District Hospital.
The patients include 50-year-old Padam Budha, his 42-year-old wife Radhika Budha, 42-year-old Lil Bahadur BK, and 24-year-old Bimala BK. Others admitted are 36-year-old Ganesh Chandara, 29-year-old Jyoti Shah, Panasara Tamata, 19-year-old Prakash Pun, 19-year-old Chandra Bahadur BK, Laxmi Shahi, and Prem Malla.
They reportedly ate the mushrooms for dinner on Thursday evening and soon after experienced vomiting and unconsciousness.
According to Dr. Sunil Pun, head of Jajarkot District Hospital, all the patients are receiving treatment and are now out of danger. They were brought to the hospital around midnight and have shown improvement after emergency care.
