Nepal Rastra Bank Sets Today’s Foreign Exchange Rates; US Dollar Appreciates
Kathmandu — Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today, with the value of the US dollar seeing an increase.
According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at NPR 150.07, while the selling rate stands at NPR 150.67.
Similarly, the buying rate for one Euro is NPR 174.17 and the selling rate is NPR 174.87. The UK Pound Sterling is priced at NPR 201.30 for buying and NPR 202.11 for selling, while the Swiss Franc stands at NPR 190.23 (buying) and NPR 190.99 (selling).
Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar has a buying rate of NPR 104.61 and a selling rate of NPR 105.02. The Canadian dollar is set at NPR 108.80 (buying) and NPR 109.24 (selling), while the Singapore dollar stands at NPR 117.36 (buying) and NPR 117.83 (selling).
For Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen are valued at NPR 9.45 (buying) and NPR 9.48 (selling). The Chinese yuan is fixed at NPR 21.76 (buying) and NPR 21.85 (selling). The Saudi Arabian riyal is set at NPR 40.00 (buying) and NPR 40.16 (selling), while the Qatari riyal stands at NPR 41.16 (buying) and NPR 41.32 (selling).
According to the central bank, the Thai baht is valued at NPR 4.62 (buying) and NPR 4.64 (selling). The UAE dirham is set at NPR 40.86 (buying) and NPR 41.02 (selling), the Malaysian ringgit at NPR 37.85 (buying) and NPR 38.00 (selling), and 100 South Korean won at NPR 10.02 (buying) and NPR 10.06 (selling).
Additionally, the Swedish krona is priced at NPR 16.15 (buying) and NPR 16.22 (selling), while the Danish krone stands at NPR 23.31 (buying) and NPR 23.40 (selling).
The Hong Kong dollar has a buying rate of NPR 19.20 and a selling rate of NPR 19.27. The Kuwaiti dinar is set at NPR 489.62 (buying) and NPR 491.58 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at NPR 397.48 (buying) and NPR 399.07 (selling), and the Omani riyal at NPR 389.79 (buying) and NPR 391.35 (selling).
Meanwhile, the exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at NPR 160.00 (buying) and NPR 160.15 (selling).
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time if necessary. It also noted that commercial banks may set slightly different rates, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
