Twenty-one people were injured after a Bolero jeep met with an accident on Thursday at Khahare of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality Ward No. 5 in Sindhuli.
The accident occurred on the Sahidgate–Amare Agricultural (inner) road section when a single-cab Bolero jeep bearing registration number Ma. Pra. 03-001 Cha 8500 lost control and plunged about 200 meters off the road. According to the District Police Office, Sindhuli, the jeep was heading from Amare to Gaunkharka for a family religious ritual (kul puja), and most of the injured are brothers from the same extended family.
Police said the injured are currently receiving treatment at Atmiya Hospital, Khalte. Among them, four have been referred for further treatment to Dhulikhel and Kathmandu. Those referred include the driver Manoj Nepali of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality Ward No. 6, along with Sunil Sundas, Durga Bahadur Nepali, and Krishna Bahadur Nepali of the same area.
The injured include Manoj Nepali, Sunil Sundas, Shashi Nepali, Dev Nepali, Saroj Nepali, Ram Krishna Syawa, Kritiman Nepali, Gajendra Nepali, Gopal Nepali, Kamal Nepali, Sandip Nepali, Manish Nepali, Nishchal Nepali, Sabin Nepali, Chandra Bahadur Nepali, and Masine Damai. Also injured are Balram Nepali, Krishna Bahadur Nepali, and Durga Bahadur Nepali of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality Ward No. 5, as well as Dhan Bahadur Nepali of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 14 and Chandra Bahadur Devkota of Kamalamai Municipality Ward No. 3.
