
Twenty-one people were injured when a municipal bus met with an accident in Arba, Pokhara-13, Kaski. The incident occurred on Monday morning around 9:45 AM while the bus (registration number ग१ख ४०२७) was traveling from Arba to Pokhara.
The injured were immediately rescued and taken to the Western Regional Hospital for treatment. Among them, eleven have already been discharged, while the others continue to receive medical care.
The bus driver, 42-year-old Tej Bahadur Magar, has been taken into police custody, according to Hari Bahadur Basnet, Deputy Superintendent of Police at Kaski District Police Office.
“Four people sustained moderate injuries, while the others suffered minor injuries,” Basnet said. “It appears the driver lost control on a downhill stretch. Investigation into the exact cause is ongoing.”
There were more than 30 passengers on the bus, and the remaining passengers are reported to be safe, the police added.
