Twenty-two passengers were injured after a bus met with an accident in Manahari of Makwanpur District along the East–West Highway.
The passenger bus (Ba Pra 06-001 Kha 0054) was traveling from Birgunj to Chitwan on Sunday morning when the accident occurred at Bijouna in Ward No. 7 of Manahari Rural Municipality.
According to the District Police Office, Makwanpur, the bus went out of control and crashed into an electric pole on the left side of the road, injuring 22 passengers on board.
All the injured have been sent to hospitals in Chitwan for treatment, police said.
