A total of 25 people were injured in two separate road accidents that occurred today along the Narayangadh–Muglin Road. Authorities reported that some of the घायल victims are in serious condition.
According to the District Police Office Chitwan, the first accident took place at Dasdhunga around 3:40 PM when a bus traveling from Birgunj to Kathmandu crashed into a parked oil tanker. The collision left 13 people injured.
Police Deputy Superintendent Rabindra Khanal stated that the injured were immediately rescued and taken to various hospitals in Bharatpur for treatment. Among them, a woman (approximately 38 years old) and a 25-year-old man are in critical condition and unable to speak. The conditions of the other injured range from normal to moderate. Both the bus and tanker drivers fled the scene after the accident.
In a separate incident at Ghumaune on the same road, an electric microbus heading from Kathmandu to Narayangadh collided with a tipper truck coming from the opposite direction. This crash injured 12 people, including the driver.
The microbus was carrying members of a pilgrimage group from Mahottari, affiliated with the New Saraswati Self-Reliant Women’s Center. All injured individuals are currently receiving treatment in different hospitals in Bharatpur. Police reported that among them, one person is in serious condition, nine have moderate injuries, and three have minor injuries.
