The 27th Flora Expo 2082 is set to be organized by Floriculture Association Nepal.
The announcement was made during a press conference held in Kathmandu on Monday. The expo will take place from Chaitra 5 to Chaitra 8 at Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall.
The exhibition will be organized under the theme “Floriculture Business for Clean Environment, Employment and Economic Prosperity.”
According to the organizers, the expo will feature 83 stalls in total, including 65 commercial stalls, 11 official stalls, 2 competitive stalls, and 2 food stalls. The event will showcase and sell seasonal flowers, ornamental plants, cut flowers, orchids, agricultural tools, fertilizers, and modern floriculture technologies.
Organizers expect around 60,000 visitors to attend the four-day expo, with business transactions exceeding Rs 12 million. A key attraction of the event will be competitions among floriculture entrepreneurs in various categories, with awards given to the best performers. This was shared by the association’s senior vice president and expo coordinator Ram Bahadur Tamang.
He also said that a “Plant Clinic” will be operated at the venue with experts to diagnose plant diseases and pests. As part of its social responsibility, a blood donation program will also be organized at the expo venue on Chaitra 6.
