Darchula — A mild earthquake struck near Murai in Darchula district earlier this morning.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, the earthquake occurred at 8:32 AM with a magnitude of 4.0.
The tremor was felt in various parts of Darchula as well as in surrounding areas. However, there have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
Earlier, on Chaitra 9, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake had also struck the same area, with Murai as its epicenter.
