An earthquake measuring 4.7 magnitude struck the Sankhuwasabha–Taplejung border area at 3:18 AM on Friday morning.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center (NEMRC), under the Department of Mines and Geology (DMG), the epicenter was located around Topke Gola in Sankhuwasabha district, with a locally measured magnitude of 4.7.
The tremor was felt in various parts of Sankhuwasabha and Taplejung districts. As per preliminary reports, no human casualties or property damage have been reported so far.
