
During the protests on Monday and Tuesday, 1,368 people were injured, of whom 949 have been discharged after treatment, according to Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population.
Currently, 321 people are undergoing treatment in 41 hospitals across the country. Among the injured, 35 have undergone surgery. Out of 442 admitted to Civil Hospital, 21 required surgery. At the Trauma Center, 161 injured were admitted, with 11 surgeries performed. Similarly, out of nine injured at Narayani Hospital, three underwent surgery.
The death toll has reached 34. Dr. Budhathoki said the highest number of deaths was reported at the National Trauma Center, where eight people died. Civil Hospital recorded six deaths, while Everest and Frontline Hospitals reported three deaths each.
Two deaths were reported at Kathmandu Medical College in Sinamangal, two at Vayodha Hospital, and one at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital. Outside Kathmandu, five people died at Bheri Hospital, two at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, one at BNC Hospital in Birtamod, and one at Birta City Hospital.
