Rock Cutting Begins at Three Sections of the Muglin–Malekhu Road
Work has begun on cutting the rock faces at three locations along the Muglin–Malekhu road. This preparation is part of the road expansion plan that aligns with the daytime closure of the Nagdhunga–Malekhu section of the Prithvi Highway for five hours daily from Mangsir 24 to Push 1 for road upgrading.
Under the Nagdhunga–Muglin Road Project, rock-cutting work is being carried out at Ghoptebheer in Chitwan and at Khataudi and Dahaki in Dhading.
At all three sites, approximately 40 meters in length and 80 meters in height of the rocky hillside need to be cut. The existing road width of seven meters will be expanded by an additional two meters.
Meanwhile, blacktopping work has already begun in Bishaltar, Dhading, from Sunday, and the project has started accelerating overall construction activities.
