Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today (Friday). According to the rates determined by the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at NPR 143.74, while the selling rate stands at NPR 144.34.
Similarly, the buying rate of one European euro is NPR 167.85 and the selling rate is NPR 168.55. The UK pound sterling has been fixed at NPR 193.27 for buying and NPR 194.08 for selling, while the Swiss franc is being traded at NPR 180.29 for buying and NPR 181.05 for selling.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at NPR 96.27 and the selling rate at NPR 96.67. Likewise, the Canadian dollar is being bought at NPR 103.64 and sold at NPR 104.08, while the Singapore dollar stands at NPR 111.94 for buying and NPR 112.41 for selling.
For Japanese yen, the buying rate for 10 yen has been fixed at NPR 9.17 and the selling rate at NPR 9.21. The Chinese yuan is being exchanged at NPR 20.58 for buying and NPR 20.67 for selling. Similarly, the Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of NPR 38.33 and a selling rate of NPR 38.49, while the Qatari riyal is fixed at NPR 39.43 for buying and NPR 39.60 for selling.
According to the central bank, the Thai baht is being traded at NPR 4.57 for buying and NPR 4.59 for selling. The UAE dirham has been fixed at NPR 39.13 for buying and NPR 39.30 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at NPR 35.38 for buying and NPR 35.53 for selling. The South Korean won (100 units) has been set at NPR 9.89 for buying and NPR 9.93 for selling. Likewise, the Swedish krona is being exchanged at NPR 15.61 for buying and NPR 15.67 for selling, and the Danish krone at NPR 22.46 for buying and NPR 22.56 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at NPR 18.45 and the selling rate at NPR 18.52. The Kuwaiti dinar is being traded at NPR 470.35 for buying and NPR 472.32 for selling, while the Bahraini dinar stands at NPR 381.32 for buying and NPR 382.91 for selling. Similarly, the Omani riyal has been fixed at NPR 373.36 for buying and NPR 374.92 for selling. The Indian currency has been set at NPR 160 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling per 100 Indian rupees.
The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It has also clarified that the rates determined by commercial banks may differ, and the latest exchange rates will be available on the Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
