The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that Nepal is currently under the partial influence of westerly winds. Due to this effect, Karnali Province, Sudurpaschim Province, and the hilly regions of Gandaki Province are experiencing partly cloudy conditions.
Fog has been reported in a few places across the Terai regions of Madhesh Province and Koshi Province, while the remaining hilly and mountainous areas are mostly experiencing clear weather.
This afternoon, fog and mist are expected to persist in some parts of the Terai. The hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini Province, Karnali Province, Sudurpaschim Province, and Gandaki Province are likely to see partly cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country will remain mostly clear. There is also a possibility of light rainfall accompanied by snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Tonight, fog is expected in some areas of the Terai. The high hilly and Himalayan regions will remain partly cloudy, while weather conditions across the rest of the country are expected to remain mostly clear, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
