The stock market witnessed a marginal decline on the fourth trading day of the week. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the benchmark NEPSE index on Wednesday fell by 1.64 points to settle at 2,681.50 points. Out of the 13 sub-indices traded, share prices of seven sub-groups increased while six sub-groups recorded declines.
Akhu Khola Hydropower Company recorded the highest trading volume of the day, with transactions exceeding Rs 807.7 million. Investors in Kalinchok Darshan, Supermai Hydropower, Super Madi Hydropower, and Akhu Khola Hydropower earned the most, as all these companies’ share prices surged by 10 percent, hitting the positive circuit. A total of 16,682,626 shares of 326 companies were traded during the day, generating a total turnover of more than Rs 7.49 billion, NEPSE reported.
