Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Balen Shah, is currently on a nationwide campaign tour for the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21.
Shah, who is contesting the election as a candidate, has been actively involved in election campaigning and has already visited several districts in the eastern region as well as the Far West. He has been proposed by the RSP as its candidate for prime minister.
On Thursday, Shah is scheduled to participate in election programs in Udayapur, Khotang, and Okhaldhunga. According to his itinerary, he will attend a program in Gaighat, Udayapur at 8:00 am, followed by another program in Deuri–Chaude–Katari at 9:30 am. At 1:30 pm, he will reach Halesi Mahadev in Khotang, and later at 3:30 pm, he will participate in a program in Ketuke, Okhaldhunga.
Balen Shah is contesting the election from Jhapa Constituency No. 5, where he is facing CPN-UML Chairperson and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
