On the last trading day of the week, Thursday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index recorded an encouraging rise. The NEPSE index increased by 27.19 points to close at 2,708.70.
Market turnover also reached a new high today. A total of 35,574,627 shares of 326 companies were traded throughout the day, with a total transaction value of NPR 11.58 billion.
Share prices of 201 companies increased during the session, while 55 companies saw a decline in their prices. The prices of 4 companies remained unchanged.
Shares of Kalinchok Darshan Limited, Super Mai Hydropower, and Modi Energy surged by a full 10 percent each. Similarly, Ridi Power gained 9.97 percent and Khanikhola Hydropower rose by 9.96 percent.
Based on transaction value, Union Hydropower Limited topped the list with shares worth NPR 587.7 million traded. It was followed by Radhi Bidyut Company with NPR 575 million, SY Panel with NPR 537.4 million, Aankhu Khola Jalvidhyut with NPR 405.5 million, and NRN Infrastructure with NPR 386.8 million in turnover.
Following today’s trading, total market capitalization stood at NPR 45.47 trillion, while float market capitalization reached NPR 15.48 trillion.
