Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has said that the core agenda of the Nepali Congress is to advance development through a corruption-free society and good governance.
While interacting with the people of Morang Constituency No. 6, he stated that regardless of what other new parties may be doing, the Nepali Congress has been working in line with the demands of Generation Z by prioritizing good governance and an end to corruption. He said the party has consistently raised the same agenda for years, not just during elections.
“The agenda of the Nepali Congress is to move forward with development through a corruption-free society and good governance. This is also the demand of Gen Z. I do not know what other new parties are doing, but I have been saying the same thing since the 2064 BS elections—not only during elections—let us build a corruption-free society, ensure good governance, promote development, and create employment opportunities,” he said.
He also said that the Nepali Congress understands the importance of youth and is encouraging their participation in elections. According to him, the party should ensure 40 percent representation of youth in local elections, 30 percent in provincial elections, and 20 percent in federal elections. He emphasized that the Nepali Congress does recognize the value of youth and is committed to giving them meaningful opportunities.
