The current session of the National Assembly is set to conclude on Falgun 1. President Ram Chandra Paudel, acting on the government’s recommendation, has formally dissolved the parliamentary session, according to Presidential Office spokesperson Ritesh Kumar Shakya. The government had submitted its recommendation to end the session on Magh 26.
A statement issued by the President’s Office on Thursday said, “Honorable President Mr. Ram Chandra Paudel, in accordance with Article 93(2) of the Constitution and based on the recommendation of the Government of Nepal, Council of Ministers dated 2082/10/26, has concluded the current session of the National Assembly effective from 12:00 midnight on Friday, Falgun 1, 2082 BS.”
The National Assembly session had commenced on Magh 4.
