The stock market posted a modest gain on the last trading day of the week. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the benchmark NEPSE index increased by 8.97 points to close at 2,671.07 on Thursday.
Out of the 13 sub-groups traded today, share prices of 8 sub-groups increased, while 5 sub-groups recorded a decline.
Nyagdi Group Power Company recorded the highest turnover of the day, with transactions worth over Rs 705.329 million.
Investors of Middle Bhotekoshi Hydropower Company were the biggest gainers, as the company’s share price surged by 9.99 percent.
On the other hand, investors of Kalinchowk Darshan Limited suffered the highest losses, with the company’s share price falling by 7.59 percent.
A total of 27,780,584 shares of 337 companies were traded, generating a turnover of more than Rs 11.10 billion, according to NEPSE.
