Nepal Rastra Bank has determined the foreign exchange rates for today (Friday). According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at NPR 144.65 and the selling rate at NPR 145.25. The euro is being traded at NPR 171.84 for buying and NPR 172.55 for selling, while the UK pound sterling stands at NPR 197.34 for buying and NPR 198.16 for selling. The Swiss franc has been fixed at NPR 188.38 for buying and NPR 189.16 for selling.
Similarly, the Australian dollar is valued at NPR 103.08 for buying and NPR 103.51 for selling, the Canadian dollar at NPR 106.65 and NPR 107.09, and the Singapore dollar at NPR 114.71 and NPR 115.19 respectively. Ten Japanese yen are equivalent to NPR 9.44 for buying and NPR 9.48 for selling, while the Chinese yuan is set at NPR 20.96 and NPR 21.05. The Saudi riyal is priced at NPR 38.57 for buying and NPR 38.73 for selling, and the Qatari riyal at NPR 39.69 and NPR 39.85.
The Thai baht has been fixed at NPR 4.67 for buying and NPR 4.69 for selling, the UAE dirham at NPR 39.38 and NPR 39.54, and the Malaysian ringgit at NPR 37.07 and NPR 37.22. One hundred South Korean won equals NPR 10.07 for buying and NPR 10.11 for selling. The Swedish krona stands at NPR 16.29 and NPR 16.36, and the Danish krone at NPR 23.00 and NPR 23.10. The Hong Kong dollar is valued at NPR 18.51 for buying and NPR 18.58 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar has been set at NPR 474.03 for buying and NPR 476.00 for selling, the Bahraini dinar at NPR 383.67 and NPR 385.26, and the Omani riyal at NPR 375.74 and NPR 377.30. Meanwhile, 100 Indian rupees are equivalent to NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling.
The central bank has stated that these rates may be revised at any time if necessary. It also noted that exchange rates quoted by commercial banks may vary and that the latest updates are available on the central bank’s official website.
