Nepal women’s national cricket team suffered their second consecutive loss in the Rising Stars Women’s Asia Cup underway in Thailand.
In their Group A second match played on Saturday at Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok, Nepal were defeated by United Arab Emirates women’s national cricket team by 18 runs. Nepal had earlier lost their first match to Pakistan A women’s cricket team by 30 runs.
Chasing a challenging target of 190 runs, Nepal managed 171 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs. Earlier, batting first, UAE posted 189 runs for four wickets in 20 overs.
Group A of the Rising Stars Asia Cup includes Nepal, India A women’s cricket team, Pakistan A and UAE. Group B features Bangladesh A women’s cricket team, Sri Lanka A women’s cricket team, Malaysia women’s national cricket team and hosts Thailand women’s national cricket team.
