The NEPSE index recorded a modest decline today, falling by 8.16 points to close at 2,662.91.
A total of 19,616,395 shares of 335 companies were traded in 80,559 transactions, generating a turnover of NPR 7.94 billion.
In today’s trading, the finance group rose by 0.56%, hotels and tourism by 0.43%, and manufacturing and processing by 0.49%, while all other sector indices declined. The banking group fell by 0.05%, development banks by 0.46%, hydropower by 1.02%, investment by 0.60%, life insurance by 0.45%, microfinance by 0.23%, mutual funds by 0.21%, non-life insurance by 0.46%, trading by 0.68%, and others by 0.07%.
Positive circuit gains were recorded in the shares of Buddhabhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited, Reliance Spinning Mills Limited, and Salapa Bikas Bank Limited. The biggest loser was Khanikhola Hydropower Company Limited, whose share price dropped by 9.38%.
By turnover and volume, Ridi Power Company Limited led the market, with shares worth NPR 650.32 million traded, totaling 2,014,126 shares.
