
A team from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Dhundiraj Dahal, an account officer at the National Academy of Medical Sciences (Bir Hospital), with a bribe amounting to over Rs 100,000.
According to CIAA spokesperson Rajendra Kumar Paudel, Dahal was taken into custody based on information and complaints that he had accepted Rs 120,580 as a bribe from various suppliers and contractors in exchange for processing payment bills that were due as per regulations.
He stated, “The CIAA team seized the bribe amount, one mobile device, and other related documents from Dahal’s office.”
The commission has said that further investigation into the case is underway.
