Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RASWAPA), Balen, headed west on Sunday, while his wife, Savina Kafle, began door-to-door campaigning in Jhapa.
Balen reached Jhapa after addressing a public rally in Janakpur on Magh 5. On Magh 6, he filed his candidacy for the House of Representatives from Jhapa-5 and toured the eastern hill districts, participating in programs in Taplejung, Panchthar, Ilam, and various locations in Jhapa. After returning from eastern Nepal, he met with party candidates in Kathmandu on Sunday before heading west on Monday.
His schedule includes traveling via Nepalgunj to Bardiya, where RASWAPA’s Bardiya-1 candidate, Thakur Singh Tharu, said Balen will hold voter meetings at multiple locations.
Meanwhile, Savina Kafle is actively campaigning in Balen’s home area. The party secretariat reported that she has been participating in door-to-door visits since early morning. This morning, she joined a voter meet-and-greet and door-to-door campaign organized by RASWAPA in Damak Municipality-9, Jhapa-5. The route started from Urav Basti, passing Panini School, Devsingh Tol, Naubhai Chowk, and Buddha Chowk, before returning to Urav Basti.
Further voter meetings and door-to-door campaigns are planned this afternoon in Jhapa-5, beginning from Padajugi Chowk, Kamal Gaunpalika-5, with Savina Kafle also participating.
