Nepal’s Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Ramnath Adhikari, has resigned from his post.
Adhikari, elected from Dhading Constituency No. 2, announced his resignation through a written statement at Singha Durbar on Bhadra 24.
In his statement, he accused the government of resorting to suppression instead of respecting citizens’ democratic rights to question and protest peacefully.
“I felt a sense of guilt in clinging to my official responsibility. Therefore, with moral accountability, I tender my resignation from the ministerial post,” said Minister Adhikari.
