Prabhu Sah, chairman of the Aam Janata Party (AJP) and former minister, has stated that there is no alternative to street protests to safeguard nationalism, democracy, and the country’s economy. Addressing a meeting of the AJP Kathmandu Valley Special Committee held today in Koteshwor, Kathmandu, he urged party members to be ready to participate in movements against those undermining the nation.
“Nationalism, democracy, and the country’s economy are currently at risk. There is no alternative to street protests against those trying to destroy the country for their own interests. I sincerely call upon everyone to participate in protests against forces that seek to ruin and destabilize the nation,” Sah said.
He also criticized Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, calling him “the chief of liars.” Sah accused Oli of allowing individuals previously expelled from the party to re-enter and spreading false and misleading information for propaganda purposes.
The meeting, chaired by AJP Kathmandu Valley Special Committee In-Charge Tribhuvan Sah, saw active participation from party co-chairs Tilak Thapamagar, Umesh Kushwaha, Dhankumari Magar, Devendra Thakur, Pashang Tamang, Ramkeval Gupta, Amar Limbu, Ranju Sah, Suresh Sah, Arya Pandey, Devendra Thakur, Niranjan Paudel, and Ram Bisht, among others.
