An all-party meeting has been held to ensure that the election of the House of Representatives is conducted in a fearless, fair, and peaceful manner.
The meeting, chaired by Chief Election Officer Dhruvakumar Upreti, took place on Wednesday with the participation of representatives from various political parties, election candidates, journalists, local administrators, and heads of security agencies.
During the meeting, participants committed to fully complying with the Election Code of Conduct 2082 issued by the Election Commission. They also agreed to inform the Office of the Chief Election Officer, the District Administration Office, and security agencies in advance while organizing election-related gatherings and programs. All attendees expressed their commitment to cooperating from their respective areas to ensure the successful conduct of the election.
In Rasuwa, a total of nine political parties and three independent candidates are contesting the election. The candidates include Mohan Acharya from the Nepali Congress, Madhav Prasad Lamichhane from the Nepal Communist Party, Prem Tamang from CPN-UML, Basanta Bhatt from Rastriya Swatantra Party, Man Bahadur Tamang from Ujyalo Nepal, Binod Thing from the Mongol National Organization, Hari Prasad Ghimire from Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Hom Prasad Acharya from CPN (Maoist), and Dawa Tamang from the Progressive Democratic Party.
Similarly, the independent candidates are Chitrakumari Devkota, Dawa Tamang, and Sagar Lama.
