Arjun Narsingh KC, the senior-most member of Nepal’s House of Representatives, officially assumed office today.
Shortly after taking the oath, he reached the Parliament Secretariat to formally take charge of his responsibilities. Earlier in the day, he was administered the oath of office by President Ramchandra Paudel at Shital Niwas, the President’s official residence.
As the senior member, KC will administer the oath of office and secrecy to newly elected members of the House of Representatives on Thursday, Chaitra 12.
A member of the Nepali Congress, KC was elected in the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21.
