Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur registered victories in their respective matches in the English Premier League.
At Emirates Stadium, league leaders Arsenal defeated Crystal Palace 1–0 in a hard-fought encounter. The decisive goal for Arsenal came in the 39th minute. Midfielder Eberechi Eze, who joined Arsenal from Crystal Palace in the summer, scored a brilliant goal against his former club to give Arsenal the lead. His lone goal was enough to secure the win and extend Arsenal’s lead at the top of the table by four points.
In another match, Tottenham Hotspur secured an impressive 3–0 victory over Everton at their new home ground, Hill Dickinson Stadium. Defender Micky van de Ven was the star of the match, scoring twice for Tottenham. He netted the first goal in the 19th minute from a corner kick and added his second during first-half stoppage time, putting Tottenham in a strong 2–0 position.
Late in the match, in the 89th minute, midfielder Pape Matar Sarr scored from a header pass by Richarlison to seal a comfortable 3–0 win for Tottenham. With this victory, Tottenham climbed to third place in the league table.
