Domestic flights in Nepal have been affected due to adverse weather conditions. Flights from Tribhuvan International Airport to Nepalgunj have been canceled as strong winds and खराब weather continue to impact western regions of the country.
With deteriorating weather, flights operated by Buddha Air and Yeti Airlines on the Kathmandu–Nepalgunj route have been called off. According to the airport security office, passengers who had already boarded aircraft were asked to deplane and return.
Meanwhile, a Yeti Airlines flight to Bhairahawa has been delayed, and a scheduled flight to Surkhet has also been canceled.
The disruptions come as active western winds bring strong gusts, rainfall, lightning, and thunderstorms across Lumbini Province and other western districts. The airport authority stated that continuous bad weather has led to multiple flight cancellations. Heavy rainfall is currently being reported in Kathmandu and several other parts of the country.
