Balen Shah, senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, is set to take the oath of office as Prime Minister on Friday at 12:34 PM, an auspicious time chosen for the ceremony.
Following the selection of the time, Shah’s team has already proposed the schedule to the President’s Office. After taking the oath, he is expected to reach Singha Durbar at 2:15 PM to formally assume office.
The oath-taking ceremony will feature traditional rituals, including recitations by 108 Batuks (Hindu priests) and मंगलवाचन (auspicious chants) by 107 Buddhist lamas, reflecting a blend of cultural practices.
