Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Balen Shah, is set to travel to Sudurpaschim on Monday as part of his election campaign. According to the party, he will reach Kailali via Nepalgunj.
Shah will attend an election rally scheduled in Kailali Constituency No. 2, where KP Khanal, considered close to Shah, is contesting as the RSP candidate. The party also informed that Shah will visit several hilly districts of Sudurpaschim from Kailali.
After resigning as Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Shah filed his candidacy from Jhapa-5. He has already completed his election campaign in the eastern hilly districts, visiting Pathibhara Temple before returning to Kathmandu via Sankhuwasabha and Tehrathum.
In Jhapa, Shah is contesting from the constituency of CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli. He is also the Rastriya Swatantra Party’s candidate for the post of Prime Minister.
