Barhathwa Municipality in Sarlahi has declared a public holiday on Thursday to mourn the passing of Municipal Assembly member and Ward No. 9 representative, Radheshyam Mahato Koiri.
According to family sources, Ward Member Mahato passed away on Thursday at the age of 72.
Chief Administrative Officer Riddhiprakash Sitoula issued a notice stating that all municipal offices, ward offices, health institutions, schools, and other offices under the municipality would remain closed for the day.
The municipality also expressed deep sorrow over Mahato’s demise. He had been elected as a ward member from the CPN (Maoist Centre).
