The Bhimad–Masardanda road section will remain completely closed for eight days due to blacktopping work. According to a notice issued by Bhimad Municipality, the section from Keule under Siddha Cave to the Masardanda junction will be closed from Falgun 11 to Falgun 18.
Chief Administrative Officer Kamal Prasad Pun stated that vehicular movement has been halted to ensure the construction work is completed in a safe and quality manner. “As blacktopping is currently underway, operating vehicles on the road could increase the risk of accidents. Therefore, the section has been fully closed for the specified period,” he said.
He added that the blacktopping work is being carried out at a rapid pace through the construction company, with a target to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe. He also urged local residents and travelers to use alternative routes during the closure period.
Information Officer Tekawati Dhakal shared that approximately one kilometer of the road is being blacktopped under the Bhimad Municipal Pride Project. The road connects Ward No. 7 and Ward No. 9 of Bhimad Municipality.
Dhakal further stated that the project, with an estimated cost of Rs. 10 million, aims to provide dust-free and convenient road services to local residents. The blacktopping work is being carried out by Eco Zone Architect and Construction Pvt. Ltd., based in Pokhara.
