The Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led Nepal Communist Party has officially withdrawn from the Socialist Front, announcing its decision through a statement released by General Secretary Biplav on Wednesday.
In the statement, Biplav acknowledged that while the Front had achieved some progress in the fight against corruption, in defending national sovereignty, and in advancing state transformation, it had failed to operate with the necessary momentum.
Referring to the aftermath of the Gen-Z uprising, Biplav noted that Nepal’s political environment and outlook have changed significantly. With three out of the four parties within the Front already forming a unified Nepal Communist Party, he argued that the Socialist Front no longer holds relevance.
“The Socialist Front, in its current form, has lost its justification. Based on this conclusion, our people’s party, the Nepal Communist Party, announces its separation from the Socialist Front,” the statement declared.
