
A delegation led by British Ambassador to Nepal Rob Fenn paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sushila Karki.
During the meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers today, both sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest.
Prime Minister Karki stated that the main priorities and responsibilities of the government formed under this unusual circumstance are good governance and timely elections. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to conducting free and fair elections within the stipulated time in a fearless environment.
Both sides discussed the long-standing and friendly relations between Nepal and the United Kingdom, agreeing to further strengthen ties in the days ahead.
Ambassador Fenn extended his best wishes for the Prime Minister’s successful tenure and conveyed that the British government is ready to provide necessary support for the upcoming elections.
