The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has requested that no more than three people accompany a single passenger to the airport.
Issuing a public notice, the authority stated that increasing flight operations in both domestic and international airlines have led to a rise in passenger numbers, causing heavy congestion at airports.
According to the authority, excessive crowding at airports creates security challenges and causes inconvenience for both arriving and departing domestic and international passengers. Limiting the number of accompanying persons is expected to help manage crowd flow and improve overall airport operations.
