The government has decided to form a Gen-Z Council.
Government spokesperson Om Prakash Aryal informed that the decision was made during the Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.
The Cabinet also decided to determine the list of public holidays for a full year, from Baisakh 1 to the end of Chaitra.
In connection with the House of Representatives Member Election 2082 BS, the government has decided to declare a nationwide public holiday for three days from Falgun 20 to 22.
Similarly, the Cabinet has decided to accept the proposed cash grant assistance of USD 4 million to be provided by the Government of China for the House of Representatives election.
As per the provisions mentioned in the current fiscal year’s budget and program, the government has also approved the financial investment model of the Budhi Gandaki Hydropower Project.
Furthermore, District Judge Dr. Diwakar Bhatt of the Kathmandu District Court has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Consumer Court, Kathmandu, with additional responsibility of overseeing duties at the Kathmandu District Court.
The government has also decided to designate district courts to handle and settle cases related to offenses under Section 140 of the Insurance Act, 2079 BS.
