The decisions of the Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday have been made public. Government spokesperson and Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal announced the decisions during a press briefing on Wednesday.
Among the key decisions, the government has resolved to determine the public holidays for the year 2083 BS. According to Minister Aryal, the Cabinet decided to fix public holidays from Baisakh 1 to the end of Chaitra 2083 BS. However, the specific dates of the public holidays have not yet been finalized.
Similarly, the government has decided to bear the medical expenses of security personnel injured during the election period. The decision covers Nepal Police, Election Police, Armed Police Force personnel, and other security staff deployed during the elections.
Minister Aryal also stated that in the event of death during the election period, the government will provide financial assistance to the families of the deceased security personnel.
