Chief District Officers (CDOs) and police chiefs from all three districts of Kathmandu Valley—Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur—held a joint discussion with medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai.
The meeting was organized at the Kathmandu District Administration Office on Sunday following Prasai’s announcement to begin protests after the Chhath festival. The purpose of the discussion was to coordinate between the administration and security agencies.
According to Kathmandu CDO Ishwar Raj Paudel, Prasai was also invited to the meeting. During the discussion, which was attended by the CDOs and police chiefs of all three districts, detailed talks were held regarding Prasai’s recent statements and content circulated on social media.
According to CDO Paudel, during the meeting Prasai stated that, for now, there is no protest plan.
