The Central Security Committee is convening a meeting at Singha Durbar to discuss security challenges that emerged after the recent Gen Z movement. Chiefs of all three security agencies—the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police—will be present.
This is the first meeting of the committee since the Gen Z protests on September 8 and 9 (Bhadra 23 and 24). The meeting will review the protests, assess the country’s current security situation, and outline future strategies.
Following the security meeting, a Cabinet meeting will be held on Thursday afternoon. After the Cabinet session, Prime Minister Sushila Karki is scheduled to address the nation at 6 p.m.
