Jitendra Bahadur Shah, chairman of Ward-8 in Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City, has resigned. The executive meeting of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City held on Monday in Ghorahi accepted his resignation.
Shah was elected chairman representing the CPN party in the local elections held on Baisakh 30, 2079 (2022). He had previously submitted his resignation to Mayor Narulal Chaudhary, citing his inability to serve the people effectively.
Mayor Chaudhary informed that Ward member Chudamani Chaudhary has been appointed as the acting chairman in Shah’s place.
Shah had earlier issued multiple statements clarifying that he was no longer affiliated with CPN (UML). Recently, he has been actively involved in various social activities.
