Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song, who is set to return home after completing his tenure, paid a farewell courtesy call on Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Wednesday. The meeting, held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singha Durbar, focused on various aspects of Nepal–China relations and matters of mutual bilateral interest.
During the meeting, Ambassador Song recalled that China is a close friend of Nepal and reaffirmed China’s commitment to continuing its support for Nepal’s development and infrastructure projects in the future. Prime Minister Karki congratulated Ambassador Song on the successful completion of his tenure and extended her best wishes for his future endeavors.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Karki reiterated Nepal’s firm commitment to the One China policy, stating that Nepal will not allow any activities on its soil that go against China’s national interests. She also expressed confidence that China’s continued support and cooperation in Nepal’s development and prosperity would remain intact in the days ahead.
Ambassador Song expressed his gratitude to the Government of Nepal and the Nepali people for the cooperation and support he received throughout his tenure.
