A clash broke out between cadres of the Nepali Congress and the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in Bhokraha of Sunsari District.
The incident occurred after a minor verbal dispute while Congress supporters were on their way to attend a party program in Bhokraha. According to reports, RSP cadres allegedly began hurling abuses at the Congress supporters, which escalated into a physical altercation.
Upon receiving information about the clash, a police team immediately reached the scene and brought the situation under control. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Chandra Khadka of the District Police Office, Sunsari, said the dispute took place on the way to a Congress election program.
Police intervened and mediated between both sides, after which the situation has now returned to normal, DSP Khadka confirmed.
