A complaint has been filed against Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah and “Hami Nepal” founder Sudan Gurung in Siraha district as well.
Leaders of the National Youth Association Nepal, a sister organization affiliated with the CPN (UML), lodged the complaint at the Siraha District Police Office.
The complaint accuses Shah and Gurung of making statements that violate the election code of conduct and of engaging in activities that create social division.
The complaint, signed by Sumit Shrestha, a central member of the National Youth Association, and Majto, the district president of Siraha, was submitted to Police Chief Antaram Sharma.
Following the incident, the matter has drawn widespread attention in local and political circles. The Siraha District Police Office has registered the complaint and stated that an investigation into the issue has begun.
