The CPN-UML has called a Secretariat meeting today to finalize candidates for the upcoming House of Representatives election.
According to Meen Bahadur Shahi, coordinator of the Party’s Publicity and Publication Department, the meeting is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
As per the election calendar, nominations for candidates in all 165 constituencies are set to take place on Magh 6.
The party’s Constituency Coordination Committees, District Committees, and Provincial Committees have already recommended names for the candidates. Approximately 35 leaders, including party chairman KP Sharma Oli, have been unanimously recommended.
The previous Central Committee meeting had entrusted the Secretariat with the responsibility of finalizing the candidates for the election.
The House of Representatives election is scheduled for Falgun 21.
