The CPN (UML) Dang chapter organized a demonstration in Ghorahi with a message of peace and stability restoration following the recent Gen Z movement. The rally, held under the slogan “Peace Reconstruction and National Unity Awakening,” saw participation from 23 affiliated organizations of the UML.
The demonstration began at Traffic Chowk, circled around Ghorahi Bazaar, and concluded with a corner assembly at Tulsipur Chowk.
Speaking at the assembly, Manohar Budhathoki, in-charge of the party’s People’s Organization Coordination Mechanism, claimed that the party’s organizational strength has become even stronger. He urged everyone not to underestimate UML and called on the government to refrain from revenge politics.
Bivek Yogi, president of the National Youth Association, stated that the demands raised by the Gen Z movement can be addressed in a youth-friendly manner, but warned that vandalism, looting, and arson in the name of protest will not be tolerated. He also cautioned that if the state fails to take action against wrongdoers, the youth wing would respond accordingly.
The UML leadership portrayed the rally as an initiative to spread messages of peace, consensus, and restraint in society after the Gen Z demonstrations.
