The CPN-UML Secretariat meeting, which was postponed due to Chairman KP Sharma Oli’s illness, is being held today.
According to the party, the meeting will begin at 11 AM on Sunday.
The Secretariat meeting had initially started last Friday at Oli’s residence in Gundu, Bhaktapur. Although the meeting was scheduled to continue on Saturday, it was suddenly halted after reports emerged that Chairman Oli had fallen ill, prompting party leaders heading to the meeting to return midway.
During Friday’s meeting, a majority of members had suggested that Chairman Oli step down from leadership. The meeting had also extensively reviewed the GenZ movement that took place on Bhadra 23 and 24.
