The CPN-UML has decided to publish its revised party statute within one week. General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel proposed editing and publishing the statute by incorporating amendments made by the Second Statute Convention as well as revisions endorsed by the National General Convention.
The proposal has been tabled for approval at the ongoing Central Committee meeting. Presenting the proposal at the first meeting of the newly elected Central Committee, General Secretary Pokhrel stated that the statute revised by the Second Statute Convention would be updated to include amendments passed by the National General Convention before final publication.
In addition, a proposal has also been presented for decision to grant the Central Secretariat the authority to assign responsibilities to newly elected office bearers and Central Committee members.
