Activist Dr. Nicholas Bhusal has warned that a “final uprising” will begin on the 16th of this month if the government fails to fulfill the demands of the GenZ movement. Speaking at a program on Saturday, he claimed that preparations for the decisive revolt have been completed and threatened to form a new government if necessary.
“We are launching the final revolution from the 16th—this is not out of desire but compulsion,” Bhusal said. He accused the government of suppressing peaceful protesters, questioning the recent arrests of demonstrators at Maitighar. “Prime Minister Sushila Karki, you were put in that position to address GenZ demands,” he remarked.
Bhusal further claimed that they are preparing to change the government within 13 days and even draft a new constitution. He also emphasized that the upcoming revolt would prioritize farmers’ issues, promising to buy their produce and supply fertilizer if the current government fails to do so.
“The country is not poor,” he said. “Whatever the farmers produce, we will buy. That is my promise.” He called on supporters to be ready for what he described as the ultimate struggle against government oppression.
